We are a family of Methodist churches serving communities across Wakefield and South Leeds, with strong ecumenical links and a shared desire to see God’s love made known in the places where we live.

Across the Circuit, our churches are very different in size, style and setting, but we are united by a common calling: to worship God, care for one another, serve our communities and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

We know that church life is changing. Some congregations are growing in new ways, others are facing difficult decisions, and many are discovering fresh opportunities to serve their neighbourhoods. Through all of this, we believe God is still at work among us, calling us to be faithful, hopeful and open to what comes next.

Our life together is shaped by the Methodist Way of Life and by Our Calling, which reminds us that the Church is called to respond to God’s love in Christ through worship and mission.

Worship

We seek to recognise God’s presence and celebrate God’s love together.

Learning and Caring

We support one another, grow in faith and make space for questions, learning and prayer.

Service

We aim to be good neighbours, to stand alongside people in need and to challenge injustice.

Evangelism

We share the good news of Jesus Christ in ways that are natural, welcoming and relevant to the communities around us.
